Do you ever walk into a department store, try on what feels like a gazillion different items and then walk out empty handed because it just seems like nothing fits you just right? I’ve been there. I’ve tried on things and thought “Did a 5th grade boy make this dress?” Seriously.
I love it when someone thinks outside the box, er dress on the rack, and realizes it’s not a one-size-fits-all kind of world. Because it’s truly not.
Twenty-seven year old entrepreneur, Aubrie Pagano came up with an idea for a clothing brand where you choose the hem lengths, fabrics, trims, materials and it even lets you know what garments are best for your individual body type. Brilliant.
It’s called Bow and Drape and I’m so excited to share with you some images of her designs, as well as a Family and Friends discount code. Here are a few of her pieces from the Fall 2013 Lookbook.
Bow and Drape Fall 2013 Lookbook
Outfit 1: The Potpourri Pant $118 & Bijoux Blazer $298
Outfit 2: The Twiggy dress $138
Je T’aime Blouse $120 & The Victoria $98 skirt
The Billie Sweatshirt – gold wording 100% customizable $48, The Easy Oxford button down $98 & The Potpourri Pant $118
The last outfit is my favorite. I love the casual look of the sweater and the crisp white button-up shirt under-neath. What’s the Potpourri pant you ask? Well, it’s a style from the 1930s, with pleats in the front and as Bow and Drape says, they are “cropped to perfection”.
